Long Valley Health Center - Laytonville Medical And Dental Clinic

History of LVHC

Long Valley Health Center - Laytonville Medical And Dental Clinic

The journey of LVHC began with a humble vision – to provide accessible and quality healthcare to the people of Laytonville and its surrounding areas. Over the decades, this vision has evolved into a thriving healthcare institution that continues to meet the needs of the community.

LVHC's success can be attributed to the dedication of our staff and board members, the support of the community, and a steadfast commitment to our mission. Throughout our 45-year history, the center has expanded its services, ensuring that individuals and families have access to comprehensive healthcare in one place.

Preventative Care in Laytonville

From primary care to dental services, behavioral health, and wellness programs, LVHC has continuously adapted to the changing needs of the community. Our emphasis on preventive care and health education has played a crucial role in promoting a healthier lifestyle among our patients. Our community garden is a symbol of our holistic approach to health. It not only provides fresh, nutritious produce, but also fosters a sense of community and well-being among our patients and staff.

Laytonville Medical Transportation

Transportation Program

Our patient transportation program stands as a testament to our dedication to accessibility. We understand that not everyone can easily make it to their appointments, so we have ensured that transportation is not a barrier to receiving the care our patients deserve. We go the extra mile by providing transports to specialty appointments, bridging the gap from Eureka to San Francisco. This commitment to helping our patients receive specialized care, regardless of their location, underscores our unwavering dedication to their health.

Ongoing Community Care

In line with our vow to serve the community, we have been expanding groups like our shopping group, which transports patients to neighboring towns to complete their grocery shopping needs. This initiative recognizes the importance of social connections and support systems in maintaining good health. By expanding these groups, we aim to provide more opportunities for community members to come together and support one another.

Whether it’s the introduction of new technologies or creative approaches to care, we remain committed to being at the forefront of healthcare in Mendocino County.

As we celebrate our 45th anniversary, we are excited to share that our fully renovated medical building is nearing completion. This renovation shows our pledge to provide a modern, comfortable, and state-of-the-art environment for our patients.

This anniversary is not just a milestone, but a celebration of the positive impact LVHC has had on the lives of countless individuals. It serves as a reminder of our ongoing mission to provide accessible, compassionate, and quality healthcare.

The Future of LVHC

As LVHC looks ahead to the future, we remain committed to our founding principles while embracing innovation and technology to better serve the community. The 45th anniversary is a moment to reflect on the past, celebrate the present, and envision a brighter and healthier future for Laytonville and its residents.
